In this MPPI Partner Spotlight, we highlight Independence Now and its role in helping youth and young adults with disabilities build skills for greater independence.
Independence Now advocates for independence and fair treatment for people with disabilities while encouraging families to support independence as early as possible. Through its youth leadership forums, youth and young adults learn about assistive technology, participate in hands-on activities, connect with community members with disabilities, practice giving testimony, and meet alumni, other students, and state representatives. These experiences help young people build skills and prepare for greater independence as they transition to adulthood.
In our MPPI Partner Spotlight series, we highlight the power of partnership in action. This story shows how collaboration, shared purpose, and a commitment to meaningful support can create real opportunities for people, families, and communities. As you watch, consider the role strong partners play in turning ideas into action—and action into lasting impact.
